Stove Mantel

This client had a lot of brown wood in her kitchen and really wanted to have some black highlighted areas.  We painted the kitchen island and stove mantle in black and highlighted the details of these areas with a caramel colored glaze.

This beautiful 18 1/2' high fireplace was transformed from red/charcoal stones to  brown/white, complimenting the clients' contemporary interior.



Custom Stove Hood

This custom stove hood was made by hand troweling a texture. Then oak leaves were embedded into the texture leaving a fossil image. It was done in a layered metallic treatment and the oak leaves were hand-painted in a dark gray metallic glaze.

I’ve always dreamed of having a clean, modernist home, and I’m happy to say that Alice and her team at Atelier Cohen led the way to making that dream a reality! I couldn’t be more happy with the project, my house looks like it could be featured in a Kinfolk magazine. I expressed my wishes of having a clean, natural interior aesthetic and they truly delivered – the natural light in my newly designed home is to die for. They also helped me turn my dated, drab living room into a spacious and cozy space in which I can’t wait to host a party. I had the pleasure of working with Alice on redecorating my childhood home that hadn’t been touched up since I was a teen in the 80’s.
